A single-storey pavilion of glass, timber and dark steel, set in a meadow beside a lake. A slender roof plane floats above full-height glazing, shading the interior and dissolving the boundary between inside and outside. Vertical timber screens give the long elevation rhythm and privacy, while a generous deck extends daily life into the landscape.

The open, linear plan gives every principal room the view and the changing light of the seasons. Honest, durable materials are detailed simply to age gracefully and keep maintenance low. Designed for family life, Lake House belongs to its place and holds its value through the quality of its design.
